- Chelsea Place has a broad scope of services, but despite having such a broad base we strongly encourage all of our staff to get to know all of the residents, their interests, needs and personalities. It is through this approach that has allowed us to be so successful with our clinical operations and resident outcomes.

My mother was brought to Chelsea Place for rehabilitation after her hospital stay for kidney failure. This place is extremely dirty and very depressing. The staff from nurses to aides were very rude and lazy. My mom almost died from heart failure because they felt she wasnt serious enough to go to the hospital, yet the doctors at the hospital said if she came in any later she would have died. They did not change dressings on her legs daily. The put the date on the dressings and when I went in a week later to visit my mom the same dressing was still on her leg. They stole money and items from her room. Also the nurses would never tell her what medicines she was being given when she asked. My mon started keeping a journal of all the problems she was encountering and every time she woukd leave her room the nurse on duty would rip out her notes so my mom could not turn them in. So my mom had to carry it on her all the times. My mom was fearful of her roommate hurting her because she would have violent outbursts with the staff and my mothers request to move to another room was ignored. Never allow a family member or friend to go to this home...I dont know how the doors remain open.
