Find another place to do your transmission!!!
Had to have my truck towed to them twice after rebuilding the transmission. The first flywheel that broke I had to pay for the repair they actually fixed it the second time but never reimbursed me the money I paid to have the flywheel replaced. Even though it was clearly something they did to cause both of them to break.
Yet again still finding issues with the work from AAMCO.
Was having my exhaust replaced when the shop called to notify me that they had found cracks in my block and that the shift cable had been ran in such a manner that it was lying on the manifold. It was almost melted in two. Tom came over to inspect it when I called and his solution was to reroute it because it wasn’t causing problems yet..
Guess I’ll be setting on the side of the road and out the cost of a tow bill yet again before I can get them to stand behind their work.

you'd be better off burning your money than giving it to these crooks. The owner is rude, sleazy, and disrespectful. They did a poor and shoddy job fixing my car, and the reason I know this is because the next shop I went to informed me that used parts were used instead of new, the piping in one part was not even meant for my car and therefore did not fit correctly. My car is worse off after getting it 'fixed' by aamco then it was before I brought it in.
Wow! So sorry for the bad experience. Are you sure this is the Harrisonburg, Virginia location? We as a rule do not use "used" parts. If we do we are legally required to identify it as such on the paperwork. If we indeed screwed this up, I apologize. Please come back and let us make it right. _Tom the owner guy.

Provided by SuperpagesThis shop is a rip-off. They do not communicate costs up front then they lie and tell you that they did.... all while charging you an arm and a leg. Do yourself a favor...use a shop that is honest. If you are a woman or college student BEWARE...you are a target.

Provided by SuperpagesThe absolute WORST service I have ever received. Make sure you get EVERYTHING in writing. They charged me $240.000 to change 2 headlight bulbs and lied about communicating the charges to me in advance. Save yourself a headache and worry and do not use this AAmco!

Provided by SuperpagesAnother shop told me they could only replace my transmission. AAMCO replaced a small part in the (valvo body?) for less than $250. Vehicle now runs great. I am glad I called them.

Provided by SuperpagesI would suggest staying away from this place - at least until Mr Ferguson is gone. He gives misleading information, then uses high-pressure tactics to bully customers into accepting.
