Ozark Humane Society Shelter

I went to the Ozark Humane Society to pick out a dog . The staff was very friendly, informative and knowledgable. The staff worked with me to make sure that I made the correct pick for me and the dog. I picked a black lab pup named Sadie, she was perfect for me.

Everything has 'GONE TO THE DOGS' at this shelter!!! The number one priority here is NOT how much money we've raised, who's who in the volunteer sector nor giving ourselves 'Brownie points' for another adoption!!! It must remain to be getting the NEXT furry partner settled into their OWN, loving home. And that is what it is about; from wonderful FOSTER homes, great photography and administered medical attention to PROMPT CONTACTS, negotiations, thorough home checks and transports. What more can we do for these animals?

This Shelter is a kill shelter and is not kept in the condition I feel a shelter should be in. Dogs and cats who end up here are not mistreated exsactly , but they do not recieve the care they need to be considered adoptable. I took a stray to this shelter, and though , oh man what hav I done. To add insult to injury I brought home Parvo on my shoes, only to poison my litter of registered baby Gernan Shorthaired Pointers. Out of 10 , 6 died. They were 5 weeks old. Plus the dogs at the kennel who were not safe from Parvo died. I suspect that the dog I took in also died. I work with an animal rescue group and they doall they can do, but it is not enough.
