I'm not just a fat guy who likes to eat and drink... I'm a fat guy that writes software for a living. This big geek considers Microlab the best place in the Town to buy anything computer related. I have purchased numerous Macs, gaming PC's, Chromebooks, components, accessories, printers, scanners... ugh... everything to properly equip my nerdy at home. Rarely have I needed more than simple sales assistance ("I want one of these") but when I have had questions about topics like pairing RAM and MoBo, or best power supply for the rig I'm building, these guys and gals have always given great advice. Also, every time I've purchased a laptop or fully built system (6 and counting), they make it a point to have a manager come and personally thank you for your purchase... classy... especially considering the introverted nature of us techie types, this kind of personal touch goes a long way.

Best Buy take note - these guys are smarter, nicer and have better prices. No one talks down to you like the "Dork Squad" guys and the sales people really understand what they are selling. Another great thing is the "18 minute pickup" for online purchases. Every time I've done it, the purchase is indeed ready in 18 minutes or less. Best Buy on-line purchase/in-store pickup can take DAYS. If you need it now, gotta go to Microlab.

If you're even remotely within driving distance of them, take your computer to him. Hands down the best service you could ask for. My HP dv2000 was freezing every 3 minutes (literally rebooted it about 50 times over the course of a day and a half). Diagnosis came back that the harddrive was kaput. In only 2 business days, and for $200 Dave got me a better and bigger harddrive, updated my godawful Vista to Windows 7, cleaned my fan, dumped all the bloatware that has plagued my computer performance since I got it in '06, AND saved my documents (including all my wedding pictures)! He was personable, honest and informative, keeping me up to date throughout the process. Much more individual attention than you could ever hope to receive from a big box store "expert team". IF I ever have trouble again (which I don't necessarily expect, after all the improvements he made), I wouldn't take it anywhere else

Those guys are terrific. I will never go to a 'big box store' again for a computer. They spent some time with me and really helped me in making my decision as to which computer was best for my needs. The best part however is service after the purchase. I've talked to them several times with questions and they have always been helpful. Highly recommend to anyone with computer needs.

This guy knows what he's doing and is very professional. I would recommend Microlab Computers to anyone. They are very personable and are easy to work with. The prices are great and I won't trust anyone else with my computer. Trust me. Totally worth it.

Very knowledgeable, very fast & efficient work! I was very pleased with how everything was handled by Microlab Computers. The Tech was really nice and is extremely knowledgeable about all kinds of computers (PCs & Macs). Their prices are EXTREMELY reasonable for everything (repairs/service & equipment) - I was highly impressed with them. They were able to recover my files from what we thought was a dead hard drive and were quite honest about the fixability of the laptop it came out of... no pressuring into repairs that would cost a bundle and no pressure to buy a new one either. I definitely will come to Microlab Computers again with any type of computer need and have recommended them to my friends & family.

Worst place to get you pc serivce, I took my pc in to get service because it was not booting up two days later they called me and to let me know my pc was ready for pick up I ask them waht was the problem and they told me some of my files were corrupt and they had to a virus removal. I picked up my pc and paid them $190 took my pc home and my was doing the same thing I complained about so called them and I had to leave a msg since it was after hours, noone bother to return my call so I decide to call them back they told me to bring it back and so I did. Two days no phone call from them so I call them again this time they told me a bad memory stick is causing the problem. Today I went to pick up my pc and I ask Billy Beaty what size memeory stick did they replace the bad one with he told me they did not replace it they just remove it but if I want them to replace it I would have to pay for it. Remaind you this was the cause of the problem that I paid them to fix. Anyway I took my pc home with a missing memory stick now my pc is running slow, power button not working properly, activex has been remove and a lot of error msg popin up. I'm out $190 and now i'm stuck with a pc they screwed up worst than when I took it in for repair. Just file a complaint with the BBB and my next step is civil court.

They offered fast and affordable service for computer.

This place looks to be the best place to take your broken computer to in the Charlotte Area. The staff that you don't see behind the wall are very knowlegable and are really good at what they do. They do what they advertise at reasonable prices. They have an area where they offer useful products and computers. Most of the prices are reasonable and some were a bit high for used products. On a good note, I would pay a little extra here since they are a reputable dealer and stand behind their buisness. I wouold like to see more of these in the Charlotte Area.

I was charged $45 dollars for ...

I was charged $45 dollars for them to tell me all I needed was a new laptop cord which they turned around and charged me $70 for. I found out later you can get the same cord online for $20. Also the cord they supplied broke after 1 day and they would not replace it... I spent $115 and basically ended up with nothing... I felt very taken advantage of by this establishment... Most places would have done a diagnostic like this for free... If you are not already computer savvy do not use this place - they will take advantage of you!

Tried to over charge me

I came in and knew I needed a power supply for my computer. They said I needed a special one for approximately $200 plus installation fee. Found out from another computer company that the needed power supply was a generic type and I was able to purchase it for $100. I will never enter that store again. Rick Kaplan
