Orignal post to Google and Facebook-Had a issue with a previous order where I was given the wrong amount they called and gave me the corrected amount I told them to disregard one of the orders of yaki and and when I got back to work for lunch to eat it, i noticed the order was in the bag. Didn't think anything of it. Went back today for an order the daughter was rude and told me that she texted me and i needed to pay for an order her mom didnt take out. It wasnt my fault but i paid for it anyways. She needs to fix the attitude because its very unprofessional and i could have just walked out and said screw the order and get food elsewhere.
Since reviewing the restaurant I've been harassed and even insulted by the daughter who works there via Facebook. Very disrespectful and unprofessional. Will not be taking my business there EVER AGAIN.

This is a wonderful place to eat! This family-owned business gets a round of applause for excellent service, and a most beautiful presentation of the food. Specializing in Peruvian food and recently added some Mexican cuisine. Lomo saltado - is an excellent choice, Served over beautiful white rice, sauteed onions and tomatoes, and wonderful home-made fries to a side, all sit under the meat served. Its delicious! Also wonderful Peruvian sauces add a great taste to all the food. and are a great change from the usual salsa offered at almost all Latin restaurants. For dessert, home-made 'alfajores' cookies are out of this world! A type of thin short bread cookie with dulce-de-leche inside!!! This family brings Peru's Gourmet Cuisine to Central Texas at a wonderful price!!

I live in Austin but after stopping here last month, I've had to stop here whenever I'm in town. The seafood in cream sauce and the pork sandwich are delicious. The cream sauce on the seafood was delicate and reminded me in a weird way of a coconut curry. The pork sandwich was tender and came with a great lemon salsa and a side order of onions marinated in vinegar. This is NOT your average heavy Tex-Mex.
The chef and waitress, I assume the owners, are very nice and more than willing to explain the menu. Take advantage of this because the menu is not very descriptive.
El Carajo has quickly become one of my favorite places to eat and that's saying something considering all of the great places to eat in Austin. I wish I only had more room after my lunches for the flan or lemon cake with chocolate icing.
People in the Cove-Killeen-Belton-Temple metroplex, don't let this restaurant slip away.
