All Metals Recycling Inc. provides fast reliable metal recycling and demolition services for industrial, commercial & residential customers in Vermont, New York and New Hampshire. We have two locations to better serve you! The business was founded in 1974 by Richard Towns a land surveyor. He had a growing family and soon found out that surveying land in Vermont winters was a tough way to make a living. One of his customers The Mt. Mansfield Company, owners of Stowe Mountain Resort offered to sell him the resort trash truck. He took them up on the offer and started Green Mountain Sanitation. From the beginning the business has been a family way of life. The boys spent many hours during the week and on holidays to build the family business with their parents. This meant that the family Christmas celebration had to wait until the customers trash had been collected. In 1995 Mr. Towns sold Green Mountain Sanitation to Casella Waste Management of Rutland, VT and gave the then small metal recycling business to his sons, Randy, Robin and Ryan. Since 1995 the business has shown a steady rate of growth and are proud to be one of the largest private employers in Hardwick, VT.
