Our sandwich took an hour. The waitress asked if we wanted coleslaw, fries or chips but neglected to say there was $1.00 up charge for the first two. Rude employees. I like to support the local economy but I won't be back.

When plans to eat somewhere else fell through and without the ability to research other places in downtown Harbor Springs we were left with Turkey's, which was recommended by locals. It's facade is very cute and inviting with black and pink striped awnings. You can eat inside in wooden booths or outside in their inviting looking garden patio. On a Saturday night it was very busy, as to be expected.
We expected a wait, but the staff was unable to meet the demand for service in a timely manner and organization was missing at well. Seating was very haphazard, with no wait list we were told to wait outside and pretty soon a table would open. My mom had to camp a group that looked like it was getting ready to leave. We are certain that had she not, whichever group that happened to be nearest to it when they got up would've gotten it, regardless of the order of arrival.
One employee bused the table and said he'd get the high chair but by the time he was done, the lone waitress said someone else had just asked for it and there was only one in the restaurant. One?! We should've taken that as a sign. I think our faces communicated how we felt about that and miraculously the high chair appeared after all.
We ordered two large pizzas to share the Hula, Hawaiian style with bacon and another that I cannot recall the name of. It would probably be referred to as a supreme most places with a variety of meats like pepperoni and sausage as well as green peppers, mushrooms, onions etc. Both were a little bit over $20 a piece and had thin crust. My five year old's personal cheese pizza was $8 or $9. By the time the food came we more annoyed than anything else.
The pizza was okay, perfectly standard and edible, although the crust was a bit overdone. But what made this a memorable experience, but not a good one was the sheer length of wait for our meals. It was a long wait and other people complained too. Overall the meal took over two hours, which is just unacceptable, as on top of that the waitress did not provide attentive service. It was very hard to get her to even appear to take our order!
On the plus side the bathrooms were spotless.

The food, staff and town are so nice. Pizza to die for, it's fun to think of all that history in one tall pink building.
