I am a landlord of a small rental house which needed a section of pipe replaced... Al Strey, the owner, told me that the cost would be "around $400," which I was okay with... On the morning they did the job, they started at 8:00, and I drove over at 9:00 to see how it was going -- but no one was there.... They were FINISHED in roughly 1 hour.... So, I called Al and told him to send the bill to me directly, not to the Mgmt Group -- he said he would, but then he didn't, he sent the bill - which SOMEHOW came in at $820.43!!! - to Mgmt, because he knew that they would pay it.... Al charged EIGHT HOURS LABOR -- which simply isn't true... And for 6 feet of plastic pipe, he billed $142 for "materials." ... At Home Depot, that material I believe is around $20-30.... So, again, DO NOT USE Al and East-West -- unless you like businessmen who milk you for as much cash as possible and have no problem being dishonest on their bills.
