Hanna City Village Water Department

Horrible customer Service. I had heard people around town complain about the Hanna City Village Water Dept. but I had not personally had a problem until today, when they shut off off our water while the babysitter and my little kids were home. I call to ask why they turned it off and they said because we forgot sign the check we sent in with our bill. Okay simple human mistake right?? I was told that they put the unsigned check in the mail to mail back to us on Friday. So my check set in their office for two weeks and then they waited until a Friday to put in the mail. And of course it didn't come in our Saturday mail. Monday rolls around and my baby sitter calls to tell me they shut my water off while I am work an hour before their office closes. (their office hours Mon-Fri 9 am to 1:00 pm) We, like a lot of people work Mon-Fri 8-5, so there is no way for either my husband or I to talk to them in person unless we take time from work. So I call the water dept. and they tell me they are charging me a disconnect fee and re connection fee and an extra fee for coming out after hours to hook it back up. So funny that I live houses down and no one could say a word to us but we live in a "small village where you make big friends" as their slogan says... YEA RIGHT!!!
