On March 27th I went to pick my 2 year old nephew up from daycare. I took my two son ages 2 and 4 with me as well. We entered the classroom to find the teacher tugging on my nephews arm she glanced over at me informed me that my nephew had hit another child and before I could address it another woman started to berate my nephew sneering that my nephew didnt belong here and how he was unwelcomed in the facility. I have only picked my nephew up four times in the three months he has been there. The current teacher that was there I had only met twice and the other woman was a parent that for some coincidence was there the last time I picked my nephew up. It seemed like the teacher and the woman had some type rapport between them. Nevertheless I soon found out that the woman who looked me up and down when I entered the classroom was the girls mother. But the teacher had pointed to another girl when I first came inside the classroom. Not to the girl standing next to the angry woman. The teacher just stood there watching enjoying the show she didnt say anything at all but her face spoke volumes. It was apparent that the parent and the teacher were lamenting about his presence for some time. I thought how long has this contempt for him been going on and have these women been trash talking my nephew to his face and if so for how long. I understand he did wrong by hitting the other child and that he has had difficult behavior as well but if the staff couldnt handle him why did they not call his legal guardian why not talk to his guardian if his behavior is constantly abhorrent? I dont have any power over where my nephew attends daycare nor wsa I going to bend him over I knee. But I couldnt address his behavior due to that of the parent which I could understand that she was upset her child was hit but to trash talk a two year old while I held him was beyond my realm of tolerance. The parent became even more frustrated because at this point I was near belligerent. What was I to do? Before I could even address him hitting her I had to contend with the parent who at first I didnt even know it was her child. I couldnt fuss him out and make him apologize due to the evilness emitting from this woman. All I could still think about was what awful stuff had this lady said to my nephew before I got there and how long had this behavior from him, his teacher, and this parent been going on. And the nightmare didnt end there. Im walking out of the facility angry fussing at my two year old and four year old to come on and get in the car when the front desk lady comes out and gives me a piece of her mind. I repeated at least SEVEN times that I was not his parent or guardian and if he was acting out why had they not contacted her yet. Which she replied that she would. But what was I supposed to do, beat him there affirm to them that yes he was indeed a horrible child and that I wouldnt let this demon back into their sanctuary? NOT going to happen. My nephew was in a hostile environment where the teacher feed him and me to the wolves. The sneering parent was right that my nephew didnt belong there. He belongs at a place that has respect for him and wouldnt ever put him in a mentally and physically damaging situation. Beware!!!!!

They treat other races poorly....

They treat other races poorly. They have several members of the same family working here which causes problems. I removed my children from this faciity when the son of one of the administrative staff pushed my daughter down and called her a racist name. He went on to say, "We owned you!" When another child that this boy bullied tried to tell his grandmother what happened she told her, "We dont need your opinion." These people do not have the demeanor to care for children.

My three children were attending The Wonder Years childcare facility on the afternoon of Monday, March 26, 2012 when this incident occurred. My oldest daughter had informed me several weeks back that a particular student, had been using racial slurs to other children at the facility and none of the staff did anything about it. I must point out that this student is the son of one of the assistant teachers, the grandson of one of the administrators, and the nephew to another assistant teacher. On this particular day this young man was bullying another student whom he has bullied several times. He was calling her derogatory names such as ho and others and pushed her into a fence. My daughter helped her friend and this boy came and pushed her down, stood over her, and called her a racial slur, stating that he owned her! With the administrative staff being apart of the problem what recourse do these children have to get this bullying under control.
