Monica's Doggie Barber

My girlfriend took my dog in for me. The dog came back dirty and the cut was bad. He even was having anxiety when he never had it before. He acted as if he was hurt there. Worst place in the state. I would never go back and would NOT recommend any dog lover goes there.

I recently took my 2 of my Yorkies to Monica's doggie barber to get groomed.

First of all.. I asked that they even up my smallest ones long coat.... That was not done! They simply shaved her bottom.. Bathed her and charged me $25.. waste of money!
I asked that they keep my other yorkies beard long....they cut it all off.. her coat is completely uneven... I have groomed my dog's better and I do not claim to be a groomer. Their grooming abilities are sub par at best!!
I noticed early on that one of my Yorkies returned home without her collar/ID tags..... they had put a hankie on her so I waited for them to call me and let me know they found it ... ..so a week and a half later they still haven't called me so I called and got the privilege of speaking to the owner Monica herself!

She refused to even accept the possibility that THEY lost my dog's collar/ID tags....she told me my dog wasn't wearing a collar when she came in.... She obviously has a perfect memory....able to recall every dog that comes into her facility...what they are wearing ..and how they look!!!

Now, I purchased special ID tags and collars for all my dogs.... I'm telling you my dogs wear their collars, at all times!! She as much called me a liar started arguing with me... made me so angry that I hung up on her.

Is that the end of my contact with her? Absolutely not, five minutes later an angry Monica calls me back and in a very unprofessional and provoked state... proceeds to tell me that I am still wrong the dog wasn't wearing her collar.

I took two dogs in that day both were wearing their collars.... Only one came home still wearing her collar and tags! I asked her what the purpose of her calling me back, because it was NOT to take responsibility or to even apologize.... it was simply to tell me once again that I was wrong!! It was the most unprofessional conversation I've ever had especially with a business owner ...

I did not ask her to replace or pay for the collar/ID tags... Money or refund was never mentioned I just simply called to see if they found it and when they didn't I knew it had been lost! She was argumentative very angry and in a provoke state when she phoned me back!! I am NOT happy with them and I obviously will not be returning to give them MY business in the future!
If I could give them minus stars if I certainly would.. So dog owners beware!

Hello my name is Kelly, I live here in the bitterroot valley, I've been a dog groomer here for 20 yrs. and also own a shop here in Hamilton. I've had several customers come into my shop with badly burnt dogs from a cage dryer, This is heart breaking to me, I was told by each customer that they had taking there dogs to Monica's doggie barber, Also had a dog who's nails where bloody from scratching at the kennel. the last dog I had come in was choked by Monica her self, A former employer of hers advised me of this. she had witnessed it.. I'm hoping that more people will come forward and turn her in. this is animal abuse and should be stopped,
