The company has a history of doing fraudulent business. I will start by stating them all so that you are fully aware of what type of company this is, and how their services are not worth the problematic issues, everyone has/is having todate.

First, they do not do legit credit checks. They only check the public records on the Judicial Court website (free to anyone). They do not have any policies in place stating what type of tenant is allowed into their units, there for MANY are discriminated against or already existing tenants must endure possible dangerous or undesirable neighbors.

Second, Diamond Properties ALWAYS requires a 2 month security deposit, despite your background history. If your history is emaculate, or if it is extremely dreadful, the standards are still the same. Two Month Security Deposit. Now, the purpose for this is not for damages that you may cause to the unit upon departure. They charge this fee, so upon your departure, they can create charges for deficiencies that the tenant "supposedly" incurred. Now the evidence in this action is, you can find the exact same charges to the prior tenants account, that they have already paid for in their security deposit forfeiture. The reason they can do this, is because they do not fix their units when you arrive. You take the apartment "as is" and it is NEVER fixed. It may be a patch up job, but never enough to be completely fixed and/or remedied. Allowing for charges to be deducted from your security deposit once the tenant leaves.

As for the units, if anyone reviews the units that Diamond Properties has available, it is immediately noticed that their houses are not in the best locations. Having said that, many/most of the units are not up to code/standards. Promises are made in order to have the unit occupied, but they are never honored, once a tenant has moved inside.

Lets get to the better part of the fraudulent things this company does. Who is hired by this company.

Diamond Properties will rent a unit that is in foreclosure. Now what that means to someone that is searching for an apartment, that chooses Diamond Properties, is that they are turning possible other apartments down. Many of the household have children. Despite their awareness of their house being in foreclosure, they will continue to accept the rental portions. What does that mean? When the bank arrives at your door, stating that the unit is now their, the tenant must now AGAIN search for another home. Now please, refere to the security deposit when being told about this. The tenant could have been saving their money for a new apartment, rather they are paying Diamond Properties, under the assumption that they are still currently their landlords. At no point, do they forward any notices, notifying the tenants of the changes.

The company is untrustworthy as well as credible. I have spoken TRUTH in this explanation/description and will continue to do so going forth, as they are one of the worst slum lords in CT. Google Apple Management, Janet Dawson, Michael Steinbach and you will find that my statements are. Beware and please do your homework before doing business with this company.
