Dr. Rhorana is the best ever!!! He saved my dog Tyson from parvo. Local animal hospital would tell me that he wouldn't make it and was going to be too expensive. I was devastated, then I got referred to st. Francis Animal Hospital (under new mangement about 9mo). Dr. Rhorana took him under his wing. Tyson stayed at the hospital for a week. Dr. Rhorana was so humble never gave up. The staff was amazing! Always greeting me and letting me stay however long with Tyson! The price was incredible compared to what I would have paid for. Dr. Rhorana cares and feels how much our pets mean to us. Go to him! I'm forever thankful I have my Tyson back.

Thank you Dr.Rhorana and staff!

I have not been to St. Francis since the Fall of 2009, when I was employed there for a brief time. My experience at this veterinary clinic was nothing short of tragic. Roaches infested the hallway where the food and blankets used for the guest animals were stored. I would leave my purse and jacket in my car for fear I would bring home roach eggs embedded in my personal belongings. The kitchen was used for the doctor to cook her every meal, and the dirty dishes would be piled in the sink, her leftover food on the floor and counters. While only having a week or two of veterinary experience, I was still required to assist in surgery and to prep the animals beforehand. Many times I would feint from the sight of so much blood as the inexperienced assistant would try time and time again to find a suitable vein in the arm of a small dog or cat. I heard, and hope, the vet is no longer under the management of my former boss. If that is true, they must have had a difficult time renovating the worn down decor, replacing the broken equipment and terminating their various infestations.

First off I believe St. Franci...

First off I believe St. Francis Animal Hospital is under new (or at least maybe two years old) ownership. My mom used to take our pets there and didn't like the female doctor on staff. I took my cat in today to be spayed, and the staff seems to be all new (at least since the last time I was there a few years ago).

I gave St. Francis 4 stars. I feel there staff was very helpful, professional and made me feel welcome upon entering the business. They have low cost spay and neutering which was really helpful since I've had this abandoned cat for three weeks and don't quite have the money to be spending up to 300 dollars else where to get her fixed. Over all the staff was very helpful and caring.

I would like to add that the reason I didn't give 5 stars comes down to the fact that the abandoned cat which we have adopted as ours was come to find out pregnant. Which we did not know or find out until after they had fixed her and aborted the babies. I was informed by the staff that if there were any complications or information I needed to know they would call my husbands cell or mine. I didn't receive a call until they were ready for me to pick her up. And I find out that she was pregnant after the surgery was completed.

I feel to better improve customer/pet owner satisfaction if a pet is pregnant and they are planning to spay a pet the owners should get a call letting them know the pet is indeed pregnant before they go ahead with the procedure to find out what the owner would like to do. Like I said this cat was abandoned and I knew nothing of her medical history, and had no clue what so ever that she was going to have babies. You can imagine I was completely shocked.

So over all I think I would recommend this animal hospital to another pet owner, but if the staff of this pet hospital does read the reviews I would like to ask them to make it a part of there procedure when fixing a female animal either call or some how inform the pet owner of the pregnancy before continuing. And pet owners I might suggest letting them know if there is any possibility that your pet may be pregnant what your wishes are before you turn your pet over.

[Edit] -- 7/30/12

I took my kitty in today as a follow up to get her stitches removed. Again the staff was very helpful and caring. Took us right in, even apologized for our previous visit even after explaining to us that there was no way they had the time to call and inform us of the cats pregnancy, for leaving her open during surgery to call would have greatly endangered my little kitty. I have changed my star rating to 5 stars after today'

s visit when I was told to further stop any issues like this in the future they will be suggesting to any pet owners who are getting a animal spayed, to ask for a scan if there could be any possibly that your pet might be pregnant.

I'm happy to know that they considered my concerns and are making an attempted to better improve there service. They are a caring and helpful staff and I would again recommend them to any of my pet owner friends.

This is a good Hospital, i don...

This is a good Hospital, i dont know why people give it bad reviews its under new management, The staff is wonderful my mini poodle was really sick and had horrible breath, i took her there and they called me during the cleaning and told me they needed to remove all of her teeth, i was really sad but the dr promised she would do what she could to save some, and she did just that, and my dog is back to normal better then ever she even put on weight, and they were sensative to my problems they even have dogs that they love, then a few weeks after that my large dog was bit by a rattle 3 times in the face and neck. we called ahead and rushed her there in 10 minutes, the drs did what they could to help her ... but in the end it was to much venom. they did make her as comfortable as they could with pain medicine. but i always take my new animals and old ones to this vet for grooming also. i like this hospital and will continue to bring my pets here and recommend them ..

I can't believe someone would ...

I can't believe someone would write a bad review of this place. I was just in there maybe 2 weeks ago and I thought that the vet and the staff were amazing. They really took the time to fully examine my Ringo (boxer) I love him so much. The prices were very reasonable and I don't know how that lady in the other review can say they had a dirty hospital and should be shut down. The place was beautiful. Very clean and smelled great. I would highly recommend this vet to everyone. I really enjoyed them, I am going to take my pets there for everything. They have really cheap vaccines, baths, exams, etc.

Absolutely the WORST VETERNARIAN ever!!!!

I will be suing this Veternarian and her clinic. This place is disgusting!! It is filthy, smells and the Doctor and her staff are extremely unprofessional, unorganized and do not communicate with each other. This Veternarian cut my dog open, almost completely around his entire neck/shoulder area, sutured him up poorly and left my dog, a Weimaraner, looking like Frankenstein. It gets worse. The sutures came undone in 4 days! Looking closer at the wound, the skin was not closed completely when they stitched my dog back up. The staff never called me to tell me they needed to re suture my dog and put him under anestisia again. On top of everything else, they actually wanted to charge me again, for their mistake, the Doctors horrible surgery and all the pain and suffering they have caused my poor dog and me. The staff never called me to get my authorization to re suture my dog, nor my approval of the additonal fee they wanted to charge me. I paid them $1,200.00 and they wanted to charge me an additional $350.00 for the Doctors lack of proper medical treatment and poor suturing. They never explained why they had to cut my dog so deep and never even discussed the procedure, what they were going to do and what my dog would look like after. I cried when I first saw my dog, i was shocked at how the Veternarian cut my dog up so much, and how many stitches my dog had. After one day of picking up my dog from this horrible place, after they re sutured him, my dog is oozing puss like fluid from the sutures, which again, did not close my dogs skin, were the Veternarian cut open my dog, there is a rotting smell from the stitches and my dog is in so much pain. I had to take my dog to another Veternarian, to correct all the damage the Veternarian from St. Francis Animal Hospital did to my dog. This animal hospital should be shut down immediately and the Veternarians license should be revoked. She is a menace to any animal she touches. I came across many other poor reviews, many dissatisfied animal owners who took their animals there and had similar experiences as I did. Not only will I be suing this place and the Doctor, I will be filing a very detailed complaint to animal licensing board. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL TO THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT YOUR ANIMAL TO SURVIVE, OR LEAVE IN BETTER HEALTH AND CONDITION. This place writes their own reviews, giving themselves good reviews, to cover up their negligence and lack of medical skills. I can't help but believe this Veternarian got her license out of a cracker jacks box. Someone needs to go in and inspect this place, I am sure they would close it down for various reasons. In order to submit my review, I am being asked to select a star to rate this business, to me this is decieving the public because I would not give this place even one point of the star. I believe a star means something good, something positive and this place is neither. I would rather give it thumbs down, or a star with a negative sign in front of it, so the public knows these are NOT in any way, shape, or form, a positive review.

Great Hospital

I took my puppy there to get her puppy shots, as well as my older dog to get his booster shots. They have a great vaccine package for puppies for a decent price. The vet did a great job of answering all my questions and the young lady that did the shots for my puppy was very nice to her and even gave her a little treat after the vaccines. Also I just have to let everyone know they have vaccine deals on Mondays from 12-4 and Saturdays 12-2. If you go during one of those times you save good money on the shots, which was really nice for my bank account. I would recommend this hospital to everyone.
