Resin Composite
Cosmetic bonding can improve the appearance of chipped, slightly gapped, stained, or misshapen teeth in a single visit. This procedure uses tooth-colored composite resin to conceal imperfections and achieve a beautiful and natural-looking appearance with durable results.
Gold Restorations
We have not placed Amalgam restorations for several years because there are better options for our patients including natural looking composites, porcelain, ceramic and finally gold restorations. Gold is an excellent material but is used much less frequently than in the past.

Dr. Swenson completed his undergrad studies at Golden Valley Lutheran College, Minneapolis, Minnesota and The University of Minnesota, earning a Bachelor of Science degree with Distinction. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry. He worked as a general dentist for 7 years and then returned to The University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry to complete specialization in Endodontics and a Masters of Science degree. Dr. Swenson attained Board Certification Status in 2001. He completed a 28 year career with the Navy has been with Delany Dental since 2001.

Dentures
Neuromuscular dentistry is one of the most exciting fields of dentistry. The history of dental treatment has always been mechanical and primarily involved in repairing disease. This changed in 1934 when Dr. Costen, an otolaryngologist, in St Louis, Missouri described a series of problems in denture patients that eventually grew to become know as TMD or TMJ disorders. True to the mechanical background of dentists, they treated these problems as mechanical problems. Dr. Barney Jankelson, a board-certified prosthodontist changed all that. He realized that mechanics were important in treatment of these painful conditions, the underlying muscle physiology was most important. Dr. Jankelson (or Dr J) as his friends called him developed methods of relaxing muscles and measuring physiologic parameters. His work was done in Seattle, Washington now known world-wide as the birthplace of Neuromuscular dentistry.

Dental Implants
Many patients choose to proceed with receiving dental implants when they weigh the costs and benefits of the treatment. The confidence that comes with not having to worry about their restorations slipping out of place while performing everyday activities is invaluable. Additionally, while other tooth replacement procedures may be less costly, dental implants provide something that other solutions cannot: helping patients retain a healthy jawbone and facial structure. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Oral Surgery
We perform many standard oral surgery procedures, such as tooth extractions, from start to finish and we can provide appropriate, safe sedation to ensure your comfort. If your case is more complex, we can refer you to another practitioner, but whenever possible, we will carry out every stage of your treatment in our office.
Jaw Surgery
Dr Shapira has studied this field extensively and in 2014 gave a lecture in Buenos Aires, Argentina on the “Common Developmental Pathways of TMJ Disorders and Sleep Apnea.” These pathways are an example of negative environmental effects on development that can be reversed in adults who were not expanded as children. Prior to the DNA Appliance only extensive orthognathic surgery was available to widen or move bone.
Gum Surgery
Crown lengthening may be performed for aesthetic or restorative purposes. The procedure can remove excess gum tissue to reveal more of the tooth. Using our soft tissue dental laser, we can reduce gum tissue precisely and quickly. Laser gum surgery causes very little bleeding or discomfort.
Tooth Extractions
We often recommend the removal of the wisdom teeth when patients are between the ages of 16 and 25 to avoid significant complications and discomfort. We can perform most wisdom tooth extractions here in our office. If your wisdom teeth are severely impacted, we will refer you to an oral surgeon.
Bone Grafting
The All-on-4 method can eliminate the need for bone grafting procedures and shorten your treatment timeline.

Orthodontics
Epigenetic Orthodontics is the single most exciting advancement in dentistry today. While we call it epigenetic orthodontics a more accurate name would be epigenetic orthopedics because it actually grows and reshapes and idealizes the bone rather than just move the teeth.
Invisalign Orthodontics
One very special aspect of utilizing the DNA Appliance and Epigenetic Orthodontics is that the appliances are only worn for 12-14 hours per day. This is very different that standard orthodontics with brackets and wire or Invisalign®. Most of the wear can be done in your sleep, watching TV or commuting. During the day at work or with friends you can be free of the appliance. This is one of the special features patients love about the DNA Appliance, the convenient fit into your lifestyle.
Braces
Relapse is frequently a problem with orthodontics after orthodontists have used fixed braces to straighten crooked teeth. Relapse is the teeth moving back to their original position and relapse is why orthodontists make retainers. The reason for relapse is complex and not well understood. The hours when the appliance is out let the teeth follow natural eruption processes with far lower risks of relapse.

Teeth Whitening
We offer several different teeth whitening and Brightening treatments. You can choose to have your teeth whitened in our office or in the privacy of your own home using a tooth whitening kit.
