Winter Inn

I stayed at the Winter Inn Hotel the evening of 6/12. I was surprised to find that my room was a dated, dusty mess. There were holes in my bedding, there was dust everywhere, including the bathroom fan, and the mattress was so old, that it folded like a taco when you laid in it.

It was too late in the evening to contact anyone from the hotel, so I pulled the bedding and slept on the floor. I left numerous complaints, including a hand written note in the room and an email following my visit. I never heard anything from management.

I wouldn't ever choose the Winter Inn hotel in the future. Not until some major updates are done.

I've been there 3 times in the last 2.5 weeks. I'm not a food snob by any means....but if I am taking the family out for dinner I do expect simple things like the food being hot to very warm-not cool to cold. I would think this would be "resturant 101". Not the case here. Cold wet burrito-twice, nearly naked-luke warm nachos, and cool/cold french onion soup with so much stuff in it there wasn't much soup. Dinner for the family is too expensive to screw up the simple things-like heat. The point of dining out is the experience together not having to eat in shifts because half the dinners are being reheated while others are eatting. Food quality was poor also. They weren't even busy at all so that theory is out the window as well. You may laugh- but I think we'll head to Taco Bell next time-better food for the price and it usually comes hot and all at the same time. I'd also have to rate the food quality better there.
