I purchased a Brunswick Contender from a coworker which had to be transported from his basement to mine. This is a 3 piece slate, 1" thick. Tilman & co. had the table disassembled, wrapped & loaded in his trailer in under 2 hours. They then x-ported the table across town in an enclosed trailer with no problems and unloaded it safely into my basement. OMG, it was absolutely a thrill watching Tilman in action with his machinist level tuning in this table True as a Die. I still think he was just showing off, but that's what 30 years of experience can do to an audience. Anyway, This is The Guy your gonna want to call because it's all about the roll of the ball.

Mr Tillman and his brother are two gentleman kings!
They moved my pool table from the basement of one house to the basement of another. They transported everything safely up and down the stairs using a special dolly Tillman made. They wrapped all my wood pieces carefully and protected the wood frame with heavy-duy moving blankets. They drove about10 miles below the maximum speed limit when on the freeway because they had my precious cargo! They worked well as a team, took direction from me without hesitation, and were fun and jovial while working. They put everything back together exactly the same way. When leveling the slate, Tillman would not accept anything less than feeling his level slide across the seams between the slate incredibly smoothly and absolutely perfect. They really took their time with this to ensure that the playing surface was totally level at all points along the seams. I remember watching them use a flashlight and shining it at the base of the level to ensure that there was no light peeking through due to unevenness. His trick of using playing cards combined with traditional shims to level shows that he has a wisdom and experience in leveling a table that puts him at the master sage level. The two craftsman were not stingy with their knowledge, and enjoyed all my questions. Being fellow engineers, they really got into the details with me about how and why each step of the assembly was done the way it was. I had so much fun with them. My felt is in good condition, but in the future when I decide to upgrade to the highest felt available, I will have these gentleman out to pamper and spoil my pool table once again.

After reading the reviews I knew Tillman was the man. When I sent him a picture of my father's 1961 vintage table he knew the table, confirmed by the details we discussed. Tillman worked with the recipient of the table to select the felt color, giving suggestions. He came all the way across the state, with no hesitation, to move and re-cover the table. He arrived promptly, working around us as the movers were moving my mother out of her house of 49 years. He disassembled the table and moved a solid one piece slate. The table never looked better! I can't say enough about Tillman, his crew, and the pleasant experience working with him. Do not even consider anyone else, this is his full time job, only working on pool tables.

We needed to move our table from St Joe, MI to the Ludington area, about 170 miles. I called and spoke to Tilman, gave him the inf. he needed and he quoted a price. Quick and professional. Plus, he was able to make the move the next day due to a cancellation! The whole process went perfect. Excellent work, fair price and very professional. Would definitely use him again and recommend to anyone.

Tilman is the man!! Very old "kit" pool table. Three piece slate disassembled and moved and reassembled 5 times before Tilman got to put his hands on it. Needed everything, especially leveling and refelting. Not only is it better than new and looks fantastic, he spent only 5 hours and his price was wonderful.

My experience with this company was fantastic. Tillman had excellent communication, arrived on time, and completed the work in a timely manner. When he handed me the bill it was the exact amount from his estimate. No surprises. Much appreciated professional. If he does not answer the phone immediately don't panic. He is merely helping another customer and will return your call.

We moved from Ann Arbor to Portage, Mi. in June of 2014. Tilman and his brother disassembled, moved and set up our pool table. Simply said, they did a fantastic job. They took great care at each end of the trip. The new felt installed is beautiful. The set up was very meticulous and thorough and the table plays as true as ever, maybe better than new. I highly recommend the work of Tilman and BTRS. These people really care for and love the billiard tables!

Tilman does a great job! He is professional, on time and very diligent about the process of moving the table, careful not to scratch the sides and affordable, compared to others in the area. I was pleasantly suprised when he also took an extra 10 minutes at teh end to make sure the table was leveled properly.

I reached out to Tilman to have our pool table recovered a couple of months prior to actually needing it to be done. When I reached back out to him, he not only remembered me but also the details of what we had discussed which I was highly impressed with. He was quick to respond, extremely knowledgeable, and delivered excellent workmanship. He came to our home in Saranac and was very respectful of it which we appreciated. We recently refinished our basement, and I was looking for someone to level, refelt and repack the rails on my father's 100 year-old George Marsh 8 foot billiard table. After some research, I was extremely lucky to locate Tilman and have him agree to make the trip to Ann Arbor to do the work. We set a time (after sending him the rails to do the preliminary work on those first.) that worked for both of us. Tilman and his associate arrived on time and got to work. Later that day, I can say that I couldn't be happier with the result. I grew up playing on this table before my dad passed away and it plays even better than I remember - probably as good as it did when it was new around the turn of the Century! Tilman is a consumate professional, a delight to chat with in regard to his craft and is the first person anyone should deal with if they need work done to their table. Highly, highly recommend!

Tilman did an amazing job on our pool table. The table was not in the best condition, but he made it perfect.
