Hollywood Nail & Spa

I have been going to Hollywood nails and spa for the past year. My faithful attendance is mostly due to convenience and familiarity. From the very beginning, I have noticed that when I go in and peruse their polish options, there is an employee standing extremely close to me watching me every move. I have never witnessed them do this to any other customer that is not of the African diaspora... Despite this consistent occurrence, I have continued to support them (I have not done any research on other nail spas). My experience today is what has convinced me to finally take money elsewhere. I took my baby sister with me to receive a pedicure and nail color change, I myself also receive a manicure and pedicure. When I received the bill, I noticed that the owner charged me for price of a full manicure(~$27) for my sister who only received a nail color change ($8). After explaining this numerous times to the owner he proceeded to pull out a calculator to calculate charges for me. I was highly insulted and very offended. I just decided to go ahead and pay to avoid fulfilling the stereotype of the defiant black woman. I will not be returning and will be sure to share my poor experiences here with everyone I come in contact with!...

My husband surprised me about a year ago with a mani and pedicure. I loved this place! The techs were nice. The chairs OMG were just great! They did a pretty good job with the mani and pedicure also. I also got my eyebrows waxed. This year for my birthday he was going to surprise me at a "Spa" but something happened to my reservation so I ended up back here at Hollywood! This is where I thought he was bringing me in the first place. Again services were great. Didn't care dor my eyebrows too much but ol well they will grow back.
