Beware: Before you rent from this person.

I can not and would not ever recommend this person or his company.
He tries to come across as a good person but he is not.
I rented a property located at Emerald Isle, North Carolina.
The property was so dirty and run down. It took me aboaut a week to clean
this place up and get rid of the smell. I had to use bleach to clean the walls, floors and cupboards. There was mold and mildew throught the place. The exterior had green mold growing out the outside that I also had to bleach to kill and clean up. My big mistake was not to take pictures before I moved in and after I moved out. I maintained a clean place until I had to move away which was one month short of our 1 year lease. He was however able to get someone to move in right away and he got that persons deposit as well. I actually stayed to show the property several days after I wanted to vacate to help him out. I should have got most of my deposit back if not all. I have not received a dime and its been 2 months since I have moved out. He called and gave me alot of nonsense saying things like the bed was destroyed and other issues. HE IS A LIAR! SO he kept my deposit. The only thing I did wrong was that I did not take pictures to show what it looked like when I moved in and how nice I left his property after I had vacated. IF YOU HAVE TO RENT FROM THIS PERSON, PLEASE HAVE A WITNESS AND TAKE PICTURES! I wish I did. I have decided to do something that I feel inside is wrong but I am going to pray to God that this man and his company lose in value that which he has stole from me. It is only God and I who knows the truth and I hope that God takes action against this person and his company. For everyone else, I would stay away from his rentals in North Carolina and Virgina areas. HE is a con man.

i rented from curls rental and at first i was pleased that they gave us a chance but once i realized i lived in a constant party state i was turned off .i complained several times and all i got was we never had complaints before ,after several contacts with the sheriff we were told we have something else u can have we felt blessed that they recongized our complaint and acted on it but low and behold that blessing quickly turned into another nightmare.he moved us to a place that has commercial and regular traffic from boss hog (nasty food).i tried reasoning with the owner and he said ive been here 25 years and ur messing up our flow...wtf why do i have to sitt in living room and watch cars come threw not kool forget the fact that everyone keeps saying no one ever complained before ,who gives a fuck iam not an animal and dont wanna live like one ...if we would have been given this information we would have never moved here but no one realizes that...so now he says he not excepting anymore rent ,how and why would u do this to people who are never late on there rent always clean and makes improvements to ur propertys?we dont even have company iam so confused but if ur a sensable person who looking for quite and laid back dont go to him ,cause all they have is turned up places ,not a place to call home
