616 Lofts

I've lived at 616 Lofts for over a year now and absolutely love it. Two years ago I moved to GR for a job offer (from Detroit) and initially lived in East Hills (just East of central downtown GR). It was nice but still had to drive into work each day or make the morning commute on my bike (which was fun if the weather was nice). After a year of that I decided that because I worked downtown and was always downtown with friends anyway that it made sense to live downtown as well.



Since I'd been in GR for a year now I knew the places to look, or at the very least the people to ask about living downtown. By a few hundred dollars 616 Lofts was the least expensive for a one bedroom. Not only that, but the units were brand new (never lived in), amazing granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances, lofted ceilings, had even better locations than the other buildings (which tended to be on the outskirts of the downtown area (i.e. Union Square, Boardwalk Apts, etc.). The icing on the cake for me was the in unit washer and dryers. I was sold.



I called to set up a viewing and feel in love. I signed the lease that day.



Now, 616 Lofts is expanding and just announced two brand new buildings they are renovating (Kendall and Ionia) and come November 2012 I'll be moving into another new unit at 1 Ionia. I'm thrilled about it!



In addition to the amazing units and service, 616 Lofts has a sense of 'community.' Over the last year I've gotten to know my neighbors (other young professionals like myself) and have become extremely good friends. We grab dinner together, have drinks on the weekends, and because I live alone it's nice to have people around me who are always up for fun like I am.



I highly recommend checking out 616 Lofts and if you find a unit you like sign the lease asap! They go fast!
