I have bought 3 vehicles from Cassidy at Maxim Motors. I have nothing but respect for his knowledge and willingness to make sure you are happy with you purchase. I call and ask for referrals for work I need done and he always takes the time to help me out. We recently needed to buy a new vehicle and he called his contact at the dealership and helped us get the best price available for the new vehicle and for our trade! He made nothing for the effort and did it anyhow!! I recommend him to all my friends and family knowing they will be well taken care of. Thanks Cassidy

Overall
I had a great experience with ...

I had a great experience with this dealership in the beginning, until we had the truck we wanted to buy inspected.Cassidy was laid back, took a lot of time with me telling me what he knew about diesel trucks,as I went back a few times, and I did appreciate that. BUT, during the inspection the mechanic found a big issue that was a deal breaker to us,an oil leak that they were unable to tell where it was coming from, and they told us it would be a big job to find out as to where it was coming from. The area that had the leak also had fresh silicone next to it like someone was trying to cover something up,like they didn't want to deal with the problem at hand. When trying to discuss this with Cassidy he got immediately defensive saying that he had told us that these 1 ton trucks have leaks in the front end and that what the mechanic found was not a big job.Cassidy did offer to fix the leak but we felt that he was not "owning it", and made my husband and I feel like we were being ridiculous. At that point I wouldn't have trusted the "repair" that was done anyways. I told him that if the mechanic told us it would be a big job,[they work on diesel trucks all the time],then we have to go with what he is saying, that's why we get an inspection.I was then told that basically because I didn't want to work this out that he felt he could never make me/us happy and that they would NEVER be able to find us a truck because of this.Cassidy then told me that he didn't want me to come back, which I didn't plan on,and that he didn't feel he could do good business with me,EVER.We did get our deposit back, which he tried to hold onto as he thought that WE were being difficult and unrealistic about the issue, and not willing to try to work out a "small issue".He was very quick to jumping to this conclusion and blaming me/us for this bad experience! Frankly I'm relieved that I didn't spend almost $20,000 on a "leaky" truck!

We are frankly shocked at this review as it does not accurately describe all the circumstances of this encounter. In the beginning Cassidy "bent over backwards" to accommodate the customer not only showing them multiple vehicles and sharing his knowledge of the product (as the customer states in the review). He even went so far as to come back from an out-of-town trip at a major inconvenience just to show the customer the vehicle she was interested in. The customer wanted to have the vehicle "checked out" which we strongly agreed to as we always encourage to have customer's check out our vehicles before purchasing. We also suggested the shop to have it checked out, as the customer did not have their own mechanic. The customer came back with the vehicle telling us that the mechanic that looked at it said it had some type of oil seep that they supposedly could not repair (which we thought didn’t sound realistic). However, in the customer’s review she says that the mechanic said it would be difficult to locate and that it would be an undeterminable amount of money to fix. At that point, Cassidy offered to have whatever the leak was fixed at the dealership's expense but the customer did not want to have us do that, referencing that she wouldn't trust the work. At that point, given the sheer amount of time Cassidy had spent trying to please the customer, it became evident there was nothing we could do make them happy and told them that we didn't have anything that was going to work for them and given the way they were treating us with the negative comments it would be best if they purchased somewhere else. As far as the deposit, we NEVER hold a deposit back unless someone commits to purchasing a vehicle, has it checked out and agrees to purchase and then simply "changes their mind". In addition, we do not ask for a deposit unless a customer is "sure" they are ready to buy so the vehicle will be held for them while it gets checked out or financing is secured. So, the accusation about not wanting to give the deposit back is simply not true. We wish you would of taken into consideration the amount of time and effort that was spent with you before writing such a scathing review and are sorry if you did not have a more than pleasant experience with us.

Overall
Rude

I was ready to buy a car from this dealer, had financing ready to go, let the dealer know that... but because I had a few concerns about mileage and a few bits of damage on the car, I was treated like crap and left there still wanting the car but in NO way wanting to give ANY business to a place that would treat someone like that. He seemes more ready to be defensive than actually aking me feel at ease and selling me a car that I stated I was ready to buy and really liked. Thanks. I'll hold out to make a deal with someone who knows how to treat someone with excellent credit looking to fork over thousands of dollars for something and is ready to buy.

Unfortunately, we do not recall any incident of this nature, so cannot address it properly. However, we are sincerely displeased that you felt you were not treated in the manner you desired. We are somewhat confused in the manner in which you say the experience went. We would never "turn away" a customer who was wanting to purchase a vehicle, especially if they say they had financing approved. We feel that there was apparently more going on than what is being said regarding your experience. We can only assume that there was an issue in the price you were wanting to purchase the vehicle for and we were not able to sell it for the price you wished to purchase it for. We, unfortunately, cannot always sell vehicles for what customers want to pay for them. It's just not realistic. We also strive to treat people how they treat us, so if there is an issue in the way people come in and present themselves, we naturally respond in the same way. So, again, we're sorry if you did not have a pleasant experience.
