        Cellu Tissue, a branch of Cellu Tissue Holdings, operates a paper mill in Gouverneur, N.Y., that dates back to 1900. The mill was acquired from The Fonda Group in 1996. Cellu Tissue Holdings was founded in 1984 with the purchase of a two-paper machine facility in East Hartford, Conn. The company is engaged in the tissue and machine-glazed paper sectors. Its tissue sector products include absorbent waddings, tissue substrates, creped through-air-dried tissue, and napkin facial, bath and towel stock. Cellu Tissue Holdings machine-glazed products include waxing-based papers, laminating papers, fast food sandwich wraps, gift-wrapping and converting tissue papers and toilet tissue overwrap.
