Swedish Massage
Now Brittney is joining Chiropractic Advantage, and will work closely with the doctors to determine which of her specialized techniques she will use with each patient. She has been trained in a variety of techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue, sports massage, cupping, myofascial release and trigger point therapy.
Deep Tissue Massage
Once we have established an understanding of each person’s health status, we will recommend any of our therapeutic interventions in order to bring about an expedient recovery.Â These therapies include deep tissue massage, photobiomodulation, cryotherapy, chiropractic manipulation, clinical nutritional protocols, dietary change, or rehabilitative exercises.

Brittney has been a patient at Chiropractic Advantage since childhood, receiving regular adjustments and massage therapy. Consequently, she discovered an early understanding of the complimentary benefits of these two modalities. This first-hand experience has been the sole inspiration that led her to Johnston Community College, where she graduated as a certified medical massage practitioner.

Tanning
Tanning Beds
PBM requires only protective goggles, identical to those worn in tanning beds.Â While there is no ultraviolet radiation exposure during PBM therapy, the glasses are still necessary to protect the eyes from the brightness of the light.Â

Cryotherapy
Cryotherapy uses â€œcold stress,â€ which refers to the bodyâ€™s adaptive response to cold, in order to reduce inflammation throughout the entire system. This works in a way that is similar to applying an ice pack to a sprained ankle: the arteries in the region constrict, and inflammation in the injured tissues is attenuated. Whole body cryotherapy triggers a body-wide anti-inflammatory response, which can be very beneficial to injured tissues as well as degenerative (arthritic) tissues. PBM is unique as a therapy as it actually facilitates healing and repair of injured or inflamed tissues, including cartilage, ligaments, tendons, skin, bones, brain, and bursa.

Many patients require treatment from the inside out. If there are systemic issues with inflammation, gastrointestinal dysfunction, arthritis, fibromyalgia, diabetes, etc then lab tests will be ordered and specific nutritional protocols will be designed to facilitate the restoration of health. If you are not a current patient and are seeking a nutritional consultation only, then an appointment will be made at a specific time to accommodate that request, and you will not be required to undergo a chiropractic examination.
Manipulation Therapy
The purpose of spinal manipulation is to restore joint mobility by manually applying a controlled force into joints that have become hypomobile â€“ or restricted in their movement â€“ as a result of a tissue injury. Tissue injury can be caused by a single traumatic event, or through repetitive stresses.Â In either case, injured tissues undergo physical and chemical changes that can cause inflammation, pain, and diminished function for an individual. Manipulation, or adjustment of the affected joint and tissues, restores mobility, thereby alleviating pain and muscle tightness, allowing tissues to heal.
