Niki's Place

Brought my rottie to Niki's Place to have his rabies and heartworm test. The staff was highly professional, caring, and knew how to handle my dog appropriately (he hates goign to the vet). Highly recommend!

Sure the prices are cheap, and the vet is good and knows her stuff, but the owner needs to be more open minded and take a Prozac or two. Not everyone is going to want to talk in a baby voice everyday, and not everyone is going to have a great attitude every day. Just because someone is quiet, but still does their job, and still communicates with everyone else while going through very intense marital problems, shouldn't be a reason to fire them. AND THEN when you don't fire them at that point, you fire them because they're doing the job that YOU hired them for (with guidance from other people). At least come up with a better reason than "you're doing your job so I'm going to fire you", or don't sugar coat crap and just say hey, you don't fit in, bye.

Other than that you guys extubate animals too early, you don't even wait til the swallowing reflex is back. What if the animal needs to be put back on oxygen? You don't use catheters during surgery. What if the animals needs a quick dose of medication intravenously during surgery? Then what? Upgrade your autoclave, get an ultrasonic cleaner for the instruments so that EVERYTHING comes off. From what I saw and what I know from being in other surgical centers, and yes I've been to others, this place does not use the proper aseptic techniques to be as sterile as possible during surgeries and that's a problem. That's all I have.

I took my dog in December 2011 to get his shots because he was due..my dog is a blue nose pitbull, and the most friendly dog ever...he loves everybody. he has no behavioral issues whatsoever, and never has.....the receptionist/tech was great with him, and he just adored her, even giving her a lil lick when she went to weigh him...



however, when Dr. Nafgizer came in, she was standoffish with max from the get go, she came in walking sideways and stuck her hand out to the side, afraid to touch him. she went to give him his first shot, and ended up sticking him THREE TIMES with the SAME NEEDLE...being a nurse i know you cannot stick humans with the same needle more then once....then when she went to give him the bordatella solution, which was a solution that is squirted into the animals nose, max jumped and tried to pull away, being he has NEVER HAD that done before, so he jumped around a bit...after giving only half of the solution to max, saying that she spilled a good part of it, she says to me in a VERY RUDE tone, "you should have told me he was going to jump around lke that, now i spilled most of it, so next time he will get the injectible because im not going to waste my time manhandling him to give him the solution again". I explained to her that he has never ever had any sort of substance squirted into his nose, and had i known he was going to react that way, I would have let her know...and all she kept saying was "you should have told me he was going to do that..." I have never been made to feel so uncomfortable...



I have NEVER EVER experienced such a rude, unprofessional Veterinarian in my life, she is the professional and should know how to handle an animal, no matter how they react.



I called to talk to the supervisor to complain, and the owner/supervisor of the company never took the time to call me back, and had a receptionist call me to take the complaint so they could pass it on. I lost the utmost respect for Niki's place and WILL NOT go back....



be careful taking your dog's there for shots, and MAKE SURE, they dont use the SAME NEEDLE MORE THEN ONCE, and do not take your dog there if they are a pitbull, i think the vet there has issues with pitbulls and does not care for them

I don't know why anyone would write a bad review for Niki's Place. I wonder if they even brought the pet back before they went for a second opinion just a thought. We have had all of our dogs and 2 cats done and everytime we go everyone is very nice including the doctors, the place is very clean and the prices are at least a third of the cost of any full servce vet's office. I would recommend Niki's Place. You can not always believe what is written in a review good or bad. Go and see for yourself.

Had a neuter for our pet recently. The doctor never said "hello" to me upon entering the room, was very rude and cold towards me. She tried to upsell me on products that I declined three times. The neuter was a disaster. My pet is still having complications from a simple procedure and had to take him to another clinic, where I received a second opinion and treatment. Niki's Place has nice assistants and the owner is ok, but the doctor is ridiculous and not accurate. I do NOT recommend this place. It is not cheaper than the other quality places or even the county kennel that have FREE days.
