I was extremely satisfied with my procedure with Dr Patel. The office was friendly and efficient. I trust Dr. Patel and was happy with all of the services rendered. I had a slow growing round lump under the skin in the upper back part of my thigh for 13 plus years. I had a skin check and Dr. Patel initially said the lump was a lipoma and offered to schedule an excision to remove it if I wanted. It had become painful at times so I did schedule for the minor surgery to remove the lump. On the day of the procedure there was no wait time. I was taken to the room and signed a simple form..The doctor came to mark my lump to show where the incisions would be made and stated she thought it would end up being a cyst. She was right. My leg was numbed and I felt no pain at all during the procedure not even from the numbing shots. The doctor explained that the cyst appeared inflamed or infected. The procedure was over within minutes I was stitched up and I was given good pain medication and antibiotics along with wound care instructions. This doctor is fast and straight forward but will take the time to discuss or explain and questions or concerns that her patients may have. I called to ask about my pathology results and was able to speak to Dr Patel herself and she kindly explained my results (benign cyst) with I appreciate as personal follow up care from the doctor. 5 stars from me.

My insurance did not cover the prescribed medications ($1,100 out of pocket). Three unanswered phone messages and two "drop in visits" by me have not gotten the issue resolved. There is no follow up or taking responsibility to fix a problem. They do not care and will not help you other than the three pre visit calls ensuring you get there early so they can stay on schedule for their 5 minute evaluation. Go elsewhere. You will not be taken care of or leave satisfied if there are any problems or issues.

Have you seen Dr Patel's work! that should speak for itself. Go there for all your skin needs, she is an amazing dermatologist and surgeon.

BEWARE!! Don't subject yourself to this place or Dr. Patel--too many other great Dr.'s in this area who would gladly provide competent CARE...don't entrust your life to folks who are basically too busy to give a d__n.

Very unpleasant experience. The girl at the front desk was always very nice and went out of her way to help. Most of the staff had no medical background and became very defensive when asked what their role in the clinic was. Called several times asking what to do because of problems with the procedure and billing, no one would return my phone calls. I asked about the the pathology report on my final visit. I was told by a staff member that it was find. Someone called me 3 days later to say they had just recieved the path report and wanted to give me the results!

Dr. Patel and her staff made a long and tedious experience most pleasant. Micrographic surgery, of necessity, requires a significant investment in time and patience. The result, however, is well worth it. I am certain that the experience will be even more tolerable once Dr. Patel has finished incorporating the missing amenities, such as television in the waiting area or other diversions to help pass the time between procedures. The atmosphere is very relaxed and informal while maintaining total professionalism at all times. I highly recommend Dr. Patel and Advanced Dermatology. Dave Olive
