Dr. Nelson specializes in Family Medicine and is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Texas Medical Association, and Texas Osteopathic Medical Association. She provides care for newborns, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. Her services include acute and chronic care of a wide variety of medical conditions and procedures including Osteopathic Manipulation Treatments, Women’s Health, POC ultrasound, joint injections and minor surgical excisions.
MRI
If you need to schedule an MRI, Nuclear Study or CT please allow our office 5 -7 business days to obtain authorization from your insurance company. Insurance Companies require medical records from your physician and are reviewed by the Insurance Company’s medical staff before an authorization is obtained.
Radiology
Note that on the attached authorization form, there is an option to select a 2-year abstract plus 5 years of labs, radiology, and diagnostics. For many patients, this option is sufficient for their purposes and keeps their bill lower than it otherwise would be.
