Our loved one had pre-selected items for her funeral when she learned of her terminal illness. Family met with funeral director day after death. Body had been transported and embalmed. After initial discussion, director presented bill to family and demanded immediate payment before proceeding. Decedent had placed funds for burial in pay-upon-death bank account, but funds could not be accessed until death certificate obtained, usually 5-7 days after death. Director became irate, and threatened to hold body in cooler at $200/day until funds received. A family friend loaned money to son so that funeral would not be delayed. Preparation of the body was hideous. Hair was left undressed, and director said it would only be combed for an additional $75 charge. At the grave site, the senior director refused to orient the body in the direction the family desired, This funeral home greatly increased our grief. Never use Brian-Lee!
