Kristan Purcell DVM

We began using Kris Purcell as our vet when we relocated from San Diego to Washoe Valley. Our dressage trainer recommended Kris, and after three years of service, we couldn't be happier! Kris is thorough, professional and knowledgeable. She helped us through colic attacks, liver disease, laminitis and the various lacerations that active performance horses are sometimes prone. Kris also was mindful but honest in her assessment of future prognosis and how to make treatment fit with finances. Janelle in the office is always helpful and prompt. We have been so happy with Kris, that we also use her husband Jim Nelson DVM for our dog Makini and cat Popolo.

Was hounded by her office for a bill on a horse that hadn't been at the stable where she was doing spring shots. In fact the horse hadn't been there for 6 months. Threatened to turn me in for collection and finally the st as be owner interceded and she wen tg away without do much as an apology. Never met her and had never spoken to her and would certainly would never use her. Would be terrified of what the bill would be.
