General Info: Established in 1967, Nassau BOCES serves more than 50 local school districts in Nassau County, N.Y., which have more than 300 schools and enroll more than 175,000 students. Its academic courses include English, mathematics, social studies, science and physical education. It also provides various services for school districts, such as curriculum development, data analysis, financial management, graphic arts and printing, and educational communication services. It additionally offers a wide of programs, including early education, elementary, foreign language, intensive skills and teenage parenting programs. It also provides Internet and transportation services. Nassau BOCES s staff includes educational planners, naturalists, public relations professionals, computer network technicians and web designers.
