I answered a Craig's List Ad for a temporary gig at the Expo Center on Mother's Day, 05/08/2016 and worked all of the shift, even though a lot of servers were allowed to leave early.

I am experienced in this line of work, however, I was not really happy with the Expo Center and the way the guests on the last seating (1:00 PM) were treated. They ran out of coffee cups. I was not allowed to give cups to the last seating and this is embarrassing for me. They served sliced watermelon to the guests who paid 36.00 per person. A lot of them were very agitated at us, the staff.

I was also ridiculed by the permanent staff the entire time I worked here. (38 hours total in 3 months.)

If you are not available at the drop of a hat, or you really need them to give you a little room to help them for a very long shift, they are not really professional at all over this. I had to turn down a gig for no more than I could not leave my cancer stricken pet for more than 11 hours, so they canned me.
