Our Story St. Francis Animal Hospital was founded by Dr. Stephen McAuliff in Fredericksburg in 1994. A second location was added in North Stafford in 2012 to extend services to those located in the surrounding areas. Both facilities are state of the art, full-service hospitals designed to provide exceptional veterinary care for companion animals. We achieve this by established routine preventive care protocols for young and healthy pets, early detection and treatment of disease, and complete medical and surgical care as needed. We understand the special role your pet plays in your family and are dedicated to the partnership we share in your pet's healthcare. Our entire healthcare team is committed to providing personal attention to the unique concerns of each individual pet owner. Message from the Owner: "When I was a boy, I found a tiny kitten in my parent's yard. What could have been a simple trip to the vet with a stray kitten, quickly became the turning point of my life. As I watched the man in the white lab coat handle our little kitten with a smile, I knew then that my dream was to be just like him, a compassionate veterinarian (albeit I didn't know the exact terminology for my goals at the time). When I opened St. Francis Animal Hospital in 1994, my dream of providing compassionate veterinary care become a reality. I feel fortunate that I am able to say I come to work every day to do what I love: develop relationships with my clients and address the medical needs of my patients.
