Sycamore Trace Apartments

Everyday I wake up I'm disgusted by living in these apartments. Do you know how many people are ready to get out of here? Since 2013, I've had friends that I worked with stay here and they were so ready to leave, I see why. The only reason I'm still here is because of personal/financial issues and right now wouldn't be the best time for me to move.



Our friends next door mentioned the ongoing roach problem, (which, in fact, has been a problem since I lived here) and are thinking about calling code compliance just as I did.



When the exterminators DID show up to my place it was unexpected. I had just woke up with my baby and I wasn't going to leave the house on short notice. THEY DONT TELL ANYONE ANYTHING. Do you know how bad I wanted my apartment sprayed? If I had known they were coming I would've left.



Also, each different exterminator says two different things. One says stay gone for two hours, the other says five hours. One says pets are OK while they spray, another says its not. And some how none of them ever know when they'll return to spray.



Yesterday they were supposed to come and spray so I got up with my baby and left to go shopping, when we got back I saw the exterminator walking around so I figured he had sprayed our apartment. Nope, still a horrible infestation. I mean, what do we REALLY NEED TO DO to get our apartment sprayed???



I'm rambling but ROACHES have been a problem from the beginning so, if you're paranoid of bugs like me, don't move here.



The pool and the gym NEVER opened, which is one of the reason we moved in. The laundry facility is NEVER clean and quite frankly, it's time to upgrade those tired washers and dryers.



Here's the best part, WE LITERALLY haven't had a maintenance man employed in a month so you know what that means? There's a bunch of tenants who haven't had their problems worked on in weeks, maybe months, I'm one of them. Supposedly we'll have a new one by this week. We'll see...



Honestly, I could go live in the hood and get better service then this. These apartments ARE NOT worth damn near $700 b like I said I'm still here due to personal issues, other than that, we would've BEEN gone.



The only good thing I can say about these apartments is that its a small, quiet, and gated community. That's probably one of the main reasons people stay here because it's hard to find a "safe" complex in this area.



But if you're like me and want to be satisfied in all aspects of living? DO NOT MOVE HERE!

These apartments are old and pieced/patched together. No repair is every made properly but patchworked. The ceiling in my apartment looked as if it was going to cave in at any minute. The office manager (Lindy Garcia) is the worst. Has much attitude,is very rude, not helpful and friendly and listens to nothing you have to say. Make sure that everything you discuss with her you get in writing but because she is a liar and deceiver.
