Public Works Division is one of the units operated by the city government of Fort Walton Beach, Fla. The division focuses on providing a variety of services in several operational areas, ranging from streets, sanitation and recycling, service maintenance, engineering and cemetery to fleet maintenance. It is involved in engineering, street construction and maintenance, storm water system construction and maintenance, refuse collection, and building and vehicle maintenance. Public Works Division also maintains the storm drainage system and conducts heavy equipment work for the city. The division s administrative unit provides support services to its subunits that include cemetery, engineering, fleet services, recycling, right-of-way maintenance, sanitation, service maintenance and street operations.
