These television monitors are found next to every patient chair. Patients can watch a movie or TV show. Patients can also view their dental x-rays when speaking to the doctor about the findings for a better understanding of their oral health.
Oral Cancer Screening
Oral cancer affects thousands of Americans yearly. We use the latest technology to detect changes in oral tissue consistencies and/or lesions. The doctor shines a UV light into the mouth to detect unhealthy tissue. Healthy tissue looks lighter under the light while spots of bad tissue appear dark. With early detection, cancer may be caught before it has time to spread, potentially saving lives.

Teeth Cleaning

Crowns
Commonly used to expose more tooth structure. Crown lengthening involves the removal of gum tissue and/or bone to expose more of a tooth’s structure.
Bridges

Periodontal Surgery
Cosmetic Periodontal Surgery includes, but is not limited to Crown Lengthening, Soft Tissue Grafts, and Bone Grafting. These procedures can improve the appearance of your smile by correcting problems like long or short teeth, uneven gum lines, receding gums, exposed roots and indentations in the gums or jawbone.
Deep Cleaning
For the first 24 hours you may experience some cold and heat sensitivity. Do not eat, drink, chew or consume hot foods or beverages until the numbness has worn off following anesthetic. Avoid vigorous physical exercise and foods that are extremely hot or spicy for the first 24 hours and do not consume alcoholic beverages or smoke for at least 48 hours. Some bleeding following a deep cleaning is normal, but if you experience excessive bleeding please call our office.

Dentures
All removable appliances including partial dentures, flippers and full dentures must be checked for proper fit before they can be worn.

Dental Implants
Dental implants are used to replace missing teeth and roots. Implants are small titanium posts that are surgically placed into the jawbone where the teeth are missing. The bone bonds with the titanium, acting as a tooth root substitute. Posts are attached to the implant allowing for dental prosthetic attachments.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Oral Surgery
To repair the damage to the tissue, the infection must be cleaned out and the pockets must also be sealed off. In the past, that meant oral surgery with sutures. Instead, Dr. Wanatick uses laser technology to remove the diseased tissue and bacteria. The laser is also used to help seal the pocket so that new germs will not get back in. There is less traumatic to the gum tissue, thus reducing the healing time and providing a more comfortable procedure for the patient.

Bone Grafting
Involves placing a regenerative bone grafting material into empty tooth sockets to rebuild bone where an extraction has left an empty, weakened area. This process encourages your body’s natural capacity to regenerate bone.
