JNBS-Toronto Rep. Office-Main Jamaica National Building Society ( Toronto Representative Office ) opened its doors in Canada on the 22nd February, 1991 at the Lawrence Square Mall location, where the office was declared opened by the late Kay Baxter who was the then Counsel General of Jamaica to Toronto. This was the second overseas office to be established by Jamaica National, the first being the office at Elephant and Castle in London England in 1988. We moved from the Lawrence Square Mall location to 1390 Eglinton Avenue West, in February 1996 and remain faithful to the achievement of our aims and objectives of promoting the products and services of JNBS and its subsidiaries, namely savings, home loans, real estate and investment opportunities in Jamaica. Jamaica National Building Society stands as a bastion within the Jamaican community of Business and Commerce. This financial institution which had its humble beginnings in Westmoreland, Jamaica in August 13, 1874 is one of the first building societies in Jamaica assisting middle and lower-class people with home ownership. Throughout the past century Jamaica National has acquired the services of other financial institutions through a series of mergers and acquisitions which has only strengthened the ability and integrity of this great institution. Building a reputation as the people's financial institution in the community, of the community and for the community -we advanced our brand-equity as the institution which assists our members in finding a way to achieve their goals. This mission is best illustrated in our slogan We'll help you find a way. JNBS-Toronto Representative Office is a representative of Jamaica National Building Society Jamaica.
