Garda’s

Garda's does not honor reservations. I made a reservation on Thursday, May 6 for Saturday, May 8 for 6:00 pm.



Upon arriving there were many cars in the lot and I was happy I had made prior arrangements for seating. Or so I thought.



The hostess said there were 'no tables' and she 'didn't know when there would be one'.



I had my 93 year old mother with me that had limited walking. The hostess said we could 'sit at the bar'! Sure grandma....get that cane and jump on on that bar stool.



After 1/2 hour and no table in sight, I called the Nite Court, reserved seating and left. The Nite Court had excellent food btw.



Shame on you Garda's. We had my son's rehearsal dinner for his wedding there back in 2006. It is a different place now.



Do not patronize that restaurant! I cannot believe they do not honor reservations!

Love the place, we go about a dozen times a year or more. Tuesdays AKA Pasta Night is a fantastic deal, great pasta at a great price. You pick the type of pasta, the sauce and two or more toppings. Good sized servings with good salads. I am a good eater, but I have never eaten dessert there, as you get so much with the meal. The standard menu has maybe 30 or so options, but on weekends they have a added insert with about 40 more meal options. I love the seafood meals the best. Service is usually good (one waitress is not "Miss Personality") and rarely do we have to wait for a table. It is in the middle of nowhere, but well worth the 30 min. drive for our family.

Two years ago I stayed in the Kittanning/Ford City area for 3 months on business, and Gardas was my favorite restaurant there. Very, very good homemade Italian dishes, friendly folks, and great prices! I really loved the "build your own" pasta nights! I just might have to make the 1.5 hr trip soon, just so I can relive the place! Highly recommended!
