        Max Bloomfield's dream of owning a business specializing in dinnerware became a reality when Bloomfield's first opened its doors on Memorial Day of 1976. Max, an experienced businessman, believed in providing his customers with quality products at a great price. Although he passed away only a year after opening, his vision was carried out by his wife Jean, and his son, Peter. Both Jean and Peter worked hard to make the store all that Max knew it could be. Through the years, Bloomfields has evolved and grown in many ways. Under Peter's direction the store has become a unique collection of many items for the home including dinnerware, glassware, kitchen gadgets and tools, lamps, gifts, and so much more. Bloomfield's is constantly searching for new and interesting merchandise to pass along to their customers. "As Bloomfield's of Flat Rock prepares for the future with the addition of a website, a new color catalog, and building expansion, we will also remember to look to the past and remember Max Bloomfield's promise of quality, price, and customer service."

        Overall

        I LOVE this store. My husband loves hardware stores for all the same reasons that I like kitchen and housewares stores. They have everything and more. I could spend hours in this store. This is the biggest housewares store I have ever been in. We bought our fountain here last year and the came and set it up and installed it. Family owned so they really care about doing business the OLD fashion way. GOOD customer service. Did I say good I really meant GREAT customer service. Barbara Corbett
