Saragold Kennels

We boarded our dogs at Saragold Kennels for 9 days, starting Feb. 26, 2013 through March 7, 2013. Beverly had mentioned to us that she would be feeding our dogs canned dog food mixed with their regular food. Both my husband and I both ask her not to do that as our dogs have no problem eating their dry dog food. I even made a call to her on our way out asking her again not to feed them because I was afraid it would give them diarrhea. We called her almost everyday inquiring about our dogs and she would say they are fine and eating like little pigs. Well the reason they were eating like little pigs is she was feeding them canned dog food. On March 7 we went to pick them up and upon picking them up we noticed a feces smell covered up by a perfumed spray. It was so bad that we rushed home and put them in bath water to bath them and the water turned dark and you could smell the diarrhea smell coming from the water. After the bath they both immediately started having watery diarrhea every where and my Yorkie threw up a tan colored stuff the consistency of oatmeal. I called her and let her know what was happening and she advised me to give them pepto bismol. I called the vet and they instructed me to do the same and if they were not better in two days to bring them in. My Chorkie was pretty much over it in two days, but my Yorkie was very sick so I took her in first thing Monday morning and she was prescribed two different kinds of medications. It took her another 3 days to finally start getting better. Meanwhile I was emailing Beverly letting her know the circumstances, I should have ask for the return of all the money we had paid her because of the pain and suffering of my two dogs and what we went through. I also sent her pictures of the diarrhea all over the kitchen floor. My dogs bottom was so red and swollen even the tech at the vets said it looked terrible. I will admit I was so very upset that in one of my emails I told her that I would have to leave her bad reviews if she refused to pay the vet bill. She said I had threatened her with that, I say everyone has the right to leave bad reviews if they get bad service. She did pay the vet bill, but it took her over a month to do so. She never took responsibility for what she did, she just said she was sorry for my dogs being sick. Along with the check for the vet bill I received a nasty letter instead of an apology for what she put my dogs through.
