Tanglewood Farm is a small farm concentrating on raising ARI registered Alpacas and AKC Champion German Shepherds. We make a great variety of products with the super soft fiber that our animals produce, and have a farm store on our premises. We also are vendors at the Wilmington Farmer's Market in Wilmington, Ohio in the summers, in the fall and in the winter, until Dec. 15. Our products include socks, scarves, hats, handbags, dryer balls, rugs and carded and dyed fiber for use in spinning or other uses. Our German Shepherds are national winning dogs, and we occasionally have pet quality GSDs for sale. Our dogs have wonderful temperaments and we have owners all over the country. We breed primarily for show dogs, but will sell pet quality pups to owners we feel will give the dog a good forever home. We normally have a waiting list for puppies, and generally breed one or two litters a year. A super Livestock Guardian Dog, an Anatolian Shepherd, protects our herd of Alpacas, and if you are looking for a livestock guardian, we can put you in touch with a very qualified breeder of that breed, who makes sure that your livestock guardian is of a type that will suit your needs, and comes from working/show stock.
