Sofabed Etc.

After the sale is complete, Jeff turns into a nasty guy. Get your warranty and any other promises in writing, you will need it for court or be prepared to get ripped off!

My fiance and I entered sofabed etc in order to buy a sofabed. While the salesman, Jeff, was friendly, courteous and took the time to work with us, the great experience ended there. When the day came to receive our sofabed, no one showed up. I called the store and had the unfortunate and horrific experience of speaking with Steven. Steven insisted that Jeff (who was not in that day) did NOT make the appointment for that day and told me very adamantly that I was lying about having an appointment. When I insisted on speaking to Jeff, he told me that Jeff's mother had passed away, so, to quote: "some things are far more important than your couch." When I insisted that I had an appointment with Jeff, Steven started yelling at me to the point I had to ask him to calm down. Suddenly, Steven paused and said "I understand what's going on here, you are discriminating against me." When I asked him what exactly he believed I was discriminating against, he refused to tell me, just kept insisting he had experienced this sort of intolerance many times in his life. After making it clear that I preferred to speak with Jeff, Steven informed me that Jeff would be in on Monday (this conversation took place on Saturday) an then continued to insist that Jeff's loss was far more important than my couch and I should give him time to mourn, even once he returns to work.



FINALLY, Monday came. No one answered the phone at Sofabed etc. I left messages for Jeff to call me. He never did. I finally got him on the phone on Wednesday. First, Jeff defended Steven, insisting that "there is always two sides to a story" and he didn't believe Steven would be so rude (Believe me, he was). He also insisted that he never made an appointment to have the couch delivered and I"d have to wait until his manufacturer called him and said the couch was delivered to his shop before it could be delivered to me.



Six weeks after the confirmed date, we finally had our couch delievered.



My experience with Sofabed etc once they had my money was terrible. Steven was by far the worst and most unprofessional experience worker I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Sofabed etc. is on route 110 which has plenty of furniture stores. You are best off skipping this one. While the initial sales of their sofabed is friendly, the experience takes a terrible nosedive once you pay, leave the store and wait for your couch. Avoid this store at all costs, and save yourself from having to get yelled at and called a racist (or homophobic...I still don't know what he felt I was discriminating against) by Steven.

I Just received delivery of my sofabed sectional and it looks fantastic. The quality is better than I expected for such an affordable price. The salesman was kind and courteous and my furniture was delivered right on time. The delivery men even took my old furniture out. I will recommend Sofabed Etc. to my friends and family.

Save yourself the time and hassle and buy from a store that has cred and can actually back up their guarantees.



I was promised a 6 week turn around on my couch. After about 8 weeks I started to get frustrated. Then at 10 weeks I was finally able to schedule a delivery, but they were all full. So I took the first available date which was today and the delivery company CANCELLED my scheduled delivery, of which I was never informed.



I was then notified that I would not be able to receive the couch for at least another week and a half, making that nearly 15 weeks. I cannot deal with this company anymore and was forced to cancel my order. Jeff very sassily told me that he hopes I find a couch that I will enjoy half as much as the one from his store. If this comes true, at least I will have a place to sit down before Christmas.



Jeff was very nice and helpful in the beginning, before he had my money. Now 13 weeks after I ordered my sofa, I am left with no couch and a bad taste in my mouth. His condescending tone and inability to listen to a customer and provide customer service is mind boggling.

I have always had wonderful experiences at Sofabed Etc. with Jeff G. I have bought several couches from him and I admire his salesmanship, always informative, never pushy.

He helped me solve an unxpected problem I had recently when my can peed on a relative new couch.

He informed me that I could just order some new cushions and the problem would be solved. He was my hero of the day

Purchased a microfibre sectional on July 9th, was told delivery would take 6-8 weeks. We never expected delivery early and we received our sectional this morning and it looks great. From start to finish they were really professional and were by far THE BEST PRICED STORE AROUND. we will definitely recommend them to all our family and friends.

Just a warning to everyone out there who is smart enough to research who theyre buying from before they buy. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE A DIME. wE ARE STILL WAITING FOR OUR FURNITURE NOW ENTERING OUR FOURTH MONTH OF WAITING. tHEY HAVE STOPPED RETURNING OUR PHONE CALLS AND WE HAVE NO IDEA IF WE WILL EVER GET OUR MONEY BACK OR SEE A STITCH OF FURNITURE. We have been lied to over and over. We are in our new home with not even a loaner couch to sit on. What a horrid human being that Jeff is. He is so nice to get you to buy and then the lies begin. we have been stood up twice for delivery. The delivery date was changed about 5 times now, and each time I am told my chairs are in a different state. i dont even think they made my furniture yet. They dont care, they have your money. As the bible says you reap what you sow. Please Lord give Jeff his share.

WORST VENDOR EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD. Salesman Jeff is soooo nice when selling. BUT BEWARE ALL ORDERS ARE COD. once they have your money the lies and deception start. We were told IN WRITING "allow 8 weeks for delivery", we are now waition 15 weeks, and still no furniture. LIES LIES. We were set up for delivery twice. After being told our Furniture is in by Jeff himself the delivery never came because the order was incomplete, and they can't deliver "Incomplete orders". the very next week we were rescheduled for a delivery and it was cancelled because they suddenly could not find our chairs. we called for an Explaination. AND DIDN'T EVEN GET A CALL BACK. We paid over $2000 3 months ago, and still have no furniture. You wuold be better off buying furniture at a yard sale than from these people. consider yourself WARNED. You'll be remembering this review when you say to yourself " I lost my money"...
