The Fargo Youth Commission is a private, nonprofit corporation that has served the Fargo-Moorhead metro area in North Dakota since 1972. The corporation also offers after school child care services. Located in Fargo, N.D., the corporation provides care for school children throughout their elementary years. It offers flexible summer day camp programs in neighborhood elementary schools and youth center facilities for children of ages five through 12. At each participating site, the Youth Commission offers children an agenda of baseball, softball, golf, tennis, swimming, group games, field trips, and arts and crafts. Parents can choose from a full-day, half-day or varied days of attendance according to their needs. The youth commission offers full- and half-day care for children in kindergarten. Transportation is provided to and from all kindergarten sites to its locations. Each location is equipped with a computer lab, gymnasium, game room and multimedia room.
