I have used Willard's Tailor Shop for years and have always been treated quite well and they have always done a great job on my clothing. I have recommended them to many of my friends who have used them too.
Have gone here for years. The customer service was definitely lacking and alterations a bit pricey, but my alterations were always done well, so I ignored the lack of people skills until recently. I dropped off 3 pair of jeans to have the zippers replaced and two pair of slacks to be taken in -- on the date of pickup I received a call that my clothing would not be ready until the next day. No problem, I agreed to pick up the pants later. When I picked them up and got them home I realized one pair of pants had not been altered as requested (zipper replacement), again no big deal as it was the first error in over 4 years. So, I took the jeans back and requested they be fixed at which time I met the male owner -- who commenced to accuse me first of bringing the jeans back wet (how absurd) and second of switching the jeans for others. I have literally spent hundreds of dollars at Willard's on alterations, so the fact that I would be accused of switching out pants when I'd just paid for 5 pair to be altered is completely ridiculous. I'll be finding another shop for my alterations to say the least. Truly disappointed in the management practices.
We have used this tailor a few times and been disappointed more than once. They used the wrong stitch on a skirt which caused the skirt to fray. Also my husband brought in a bunch of polo shirts to get the tails hemmed off...the backs ended up being shorter than the front on ALL 12 shirts! My husband pointed this out to them and they said sorry there isn't anything we can do. At $10 a shirt, it was a huge waste of money and ruined all the shirts!!! Would NOT recommend!!!

Provided by SuperpagesBrought two pairs of designer jeans and one pair of dress pants to be hemmed, and to replace a button on another. Willards did not do quality work and I was dissapointed. The seams were very obvious looking, and even fell out a year later. The button that they replaced it with was dented profoundly in the middle. It looked very out of place. I'm an animal lover, and knew they had small toy dogs running about the shop. When I picked them up they had a noticable amount of dog hair on them. They didn't even bother lint rolling it. I paid $160 for everything, and should have learned my lesson then. Wanting to give them another chance, I called them because I had lost some weight for a wedding and the spaghtti straps on a bridesmaid dress were saggy, I just needed them trimmed. I politely inquired about the "same day alterations" and the lady on the phone said no promises. She rudely and loudly yelled, "it's called PLANNING AHEAD!" I was speechless. I've never seen ruder customer service

Provided by SuperpagesWillard's saved the day!!! My daughter brought home a cheerleading skirt that was two sizes too large on Wednesday night. She needed to wear it at a compitition Saturday morning. So after school, practice and cheering Thursday night, I brought her to a friend. The friend who was worried it was too complicated. So Friday morning, in desperation, I called Willard's. I dropped it off at 10 a.m. They said they'd try to be done by 6 p.m., but no promises. Then at 11 a.m., I get a call. They finished it. Seamstress Michelle knew how stressed I was and said she did those kinds of alterations all the time, so she went ahead and fixed it for me. Thank you Michelle and Willard's! You are awesome!

Provided by SuperpagesWhen it comes to mens clothing recuts Willard's is the best. They can take an inexpensive item and make it look custom tailored. My $50 overcoat they tailored for me received many comments and accusations of spending a fortune. Try them and you will be well pleased.
