Blue Cactus Mexican Grill

Food was decent, paid $18 for a pitcher of ice that they called Sangria. Filled a wine glass 3 times with a ice and a bit of liquid. Service was abyssmal. Had to wait 15 minutes for anyone to wait on us, they did not return to see if we needed anything or to check on how things were, and we had to chase the staff down for our check.

I had been here on 6th Dec 08. Time: 7:30pm.





This restaurant is the most useless. They have worst quality of food. They pretend to have a class in their service but it will be evident that they r trying too hard to please you. Instead if they give good food, it will be better. The quantity of food is too less. I had a dish(dont remember the name) which cost $24 and at the end of it, I still have place to fill another one in. Its just not worth it. Above all, the food was dry and hence I requested the waiteress for some sourcream(which is given free elsewhere when requested), to my surprise they charged me $1 for it which really annoyed me. They dont even provide free chips which usually go with mexican food. No extra salsa unless u r willing to pay more. The dish that I got had some chopped sausage with it which looked as if it was cooked sometime last year, it was like hard rubber.

I was being served by an old lady waitress who looked ugly to say the least. No pleasant smile while serving -- she was trying to be more like a business executive. Damn B****!!

Another thing: The tables are too close to each other and there is no privacy at all.

Yes, I will NEVER go again to this crappy restaurant. I have 4 coupons of $25 each for this restaurant -- which I have to throw away now.. In general, I would also like to add that all the restaurats listed on restaurant.com are of B grade and since no one goes to these places, these restaurants offer these coupons thru restaurant.com. Lesson Learnt.. beware of coupons u get from restaurant.com.. not worth even if u get it free!!

After reading the reviews on the Blue Cactus, we were somewhat disappointed in some of the entrees.The 3 taco dish was the choice of 3 in our group and all 3 found the pork and chicken selections to be extremely dry.Also,it would have been appreciated if we were told beforehand,(when we were ordering), of the additional charges for some of the supplements.

I love their home made tortilla chips and their deserts are huge and tasty! Reasonable prices too

Blue Cactus is fantastic! The best AUTHENTIC Mexican food in Rochester - no contest.
