My father was here for 34 days in 2016 for physical therapy after getting a rod and pins in his right hip, after his upper thigh bone broke. The staff here is wonderful, and the care my father got was incredible... If I ever have to stay in a rehabilitation center, this is where I want to go!

In January 2014, even though I was vaccinated in preparation for my stay following a surgery, I still caught pneumonia there. On my 1st night, there was one loud electric nebulizer for Albuterol inhalation, going off: by the end of my stay 2 1/2 wks later, probably every resident in my wing, including myself, needed one of those loud machines, every 4 hours, to help breath. I was afraid of what else I might catch, and checked out earlier than planned. They did not take any cultures and instead, tried to cover the pneumonia outbreak up. They did not release me with enough Albuterol to go with the electric nebulizer I was sent home with, even though I needed the meds due to becoming ill there, and though I was 3 weeks post a total knee replacement and would not be able to go out on the ice and snow, or drive, to fill a script. A culture taken by my own doctor, showed I had pneumonia bacteria in my respiratory system. It took me months to recover from the pneumonia. I had also had a bad experience there in 2002. At that time I did not have great insurance coverage and was put in a tiny room, with a woman with dementia and almost total deafness and just one TV (the TV was kept so loud by my mismatched roommate, that it was painful to my ears). There were 1000's of ants by the wall and tar dripping from a leak in the roof, over my bed. They refused to move me to a better situation until I threatened to call TV news: then they put me in a huge private room in the deluxe section. at least in 2002, the facility was owned and run by a large family who is difficult to deal with; the staff Dr. was one of the brothers, and it was a constant battle to get my regular meds (my own doctor's orders were over-ruled).
