Royal Bake Shop

We, as a family, have been using this bakery for over 35 years. They haven't always been cordial, but not as bad as they were to my daughter today. Wednesday she ordered a cake for my grandaughter's first birthday, to be picked up on Sunday. Now late Saturday afternoon, they called and said that a piece of equipment had broken. We called every bakery in the phone book and on the internet and no one could help us with such short notice. Then my daughter called Royal back and asked if they had any suggestions and the gave us an alternative, which we may have settled for. She asked if they would discount it because of the inconvience, they became irate and the owner, baker told the woman to tell her that they would not make us a cake and told her to hang up on my daughter.



I guess that is what we get for being loyal customers for so many years. We have 9 family members for whom we order cakes for each year, as well as nut and poppy rolls for the holidays. And just to stop in and buy something. My suggestion is do not depend on them as they do not appreciate loyal customers.
