The Streets and Sanitation Division is a part of the Public Works Department, which is operated by the government of City of Evanston in Illinois. The division offers a range of refuse collection and street cleaning services. It collects a variety of cans, paper products, foils, plastic materials, and glass bottles and jars for recycling purposes. The division also provides household chemical waste collection services. The Public Works Department offers alley paving and ice and snow removal services. In addition, the department provides yard waste collection and sidewalk and curb repair services. The Public Works Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of parking areas and garages.
