BenchMark Physical Therapy - Etowah

Last year I was in the hospital 12 times, septic twice, heart attack, stents, ICU, broke two bones in my ankle and had to have surgery. I had to sit in a chair for over two months, slept in that chair as well. I eventually got so depressed I was ready to give up, when the external frame on my leg was removed, I was told to enjoy walking again. Unfortunately, I couldn't. I ended up in a wheelchair every time I left my house.

My surgeon recommended physical therapy and I ended up at Benchmark in Etowah. I did not have much hope I would ever walk again. The staff there are amazing, so friendly, make you feel comfortable being there. Logan and Anthony gave me hope that I just might be able to walk again. Their positivity and encouragement made me feel it was possible. Slowly I improved.

I am now in the maintenance program. Just yesterday, I walked into the building without my walker. I walked around the room, did my exercises and a few machines...,all without my walker. I nearly cried when I walked back to my car. Today I did the same thing. Also today I did something I have not been able to do in nearly 2 years. After leaving Benchmatk, I walked into a grocery store. I still had to utilize the electric cart, but I did not have to call and have them bring it out to my car.

My family has seen a vast improvement these past few months. I do not feel like a prisoner in my home anymore. I do not feel like giving up anymore.

Thanks to Logan and Anthony, I am starting to get my life back. I don't feel useless, I don't feel like a burden to my family.

I cannot praise Benchmark in Etowah enough....and I could not thank Logan and Anthony enough!

We love the staff at Benchmark in Etowah! My daughter has received physical therapy there several times. Daniel and Amy are great! They have always made her feel comfortable. They actually helped us solve an ongoing problem we were having, that many doctors and specialists were unable to diagnose. Melanie, at the front desk, is also super awesome and friendly! I would never use anyone else but them for therapy. Highly recommended.

I was sent to Benchmark by a neurologist for six weeks of modality exercises to treat scoliosis. I received good care at first, when treated by director, Daniel Benson. However, I had to stop all treatment after three weeks as a result of only two sessions in which Amy Ross stepped in for Mr. Benson and did sciatic nerve damage from which I am still suffering. I don't know how long it will take to recover from the damage she has done; I certainly could not risk her being allowed to do more.
