Business TimeLine: 1971 - Dave, Dan, Stan, and Judy Contois open local music store in Essex Junction, VT selling Pianos and Organs. ( Contois Pianos & Organs ) 1982 - After Dave finishes attending Boston's Berklee College of Music, Contois acquires the Yamaha Music Product franchise. 1986 - Dave develops areas first Bulletin Board System ( BBS ) to provide customers with information to and from the local store via personal computers. ( We were into online technologies way before those big box guys! ).
