Chiropractic Adjustments
I saw my family doctor because “that was who you go to when you are not feeling good,” and he gave me a list of exercises, and the typical anti-inflammatory medication with some muscle relaxers. Not only did I find them to taste disgusting, but they made me sleepy and depressed. I inquired about chiropractic care as I had chiropractic adjustments as a child from my godfather, but the doctor instructed for me to NOT go to a Chiropractor as the treatments would hurt too much (actually the phrase he used was “they will KILL you”).

This is performed in conjunction with Computerized range of motion measurements, and computerized muscle strength testing to satisfy any “objective findings” that are required to prove the potential soft tissue injuries of a case and to determine IF the soft tissue injuries are more severe ligament damage or failure from the trauma. We do work with “personal injury liens and insurance claims” when needed. We do provide an honest assessment of your injuries to help you determine the best potential for treatment whether with therapies available in our office or if a necessary referral is required.

Disc Herniation Treatment
(Pain travelling down the back of the leg) can be caused by several different types of injuries which can frustrate many doctors in isolating the real cause of the symptoms. Sciatica can be traced to a spinal misalignment in the lower back, a degenerated disc, a disc protrusion, a disc herniation, spinal stenosis, a spasm in a deep muscle of the buttock called the piriformis muscle, or be an injury to the muscle of the leg (which would not actually be sciatica but can mimic the condition. There are other pathologies that can create sciatica which are quite rare.
