Americas Best Value Inn

This is by far the WORST hotel service I have ever received. I booked and paid for 2 nights up front. I was awakened at 5:45am by a loud rustling noise. I first look out the corner of my eye and there is a HUGE roach in the bed with me! I still hear the rustling and turn on the bathroom light and a rat ran from the bathtub, behind the door, against the floor boards and ran under the bed! The hotel refused to refund my money and i had to pay for the exact same night at the Super 8 down the street. The woman at the front desk was horribly rude like it was something wrong with me not wanting to sleep in the room with rat. I reported the hotel to Vantage, the Oklahoma County Health Dept, The Garfield County Health Dept and the BBB. The manager called me back PISSED after Vantage forwarded him my complaint but he still refused to refund my money. He told me and I quote "We dont have rats, we had a guest." Like the rat paid for the room! I assure you, you can find a better hotel for the exact same price and if you have any problems, the staff is NOT pleasent to deal with.

My fault, I didn't inspect the rooms before paying. The edges were never cleaned, the bathtub got dangerously slippery when wet, the bathroom light was hard-wired to the exhaust vent, which was quite loud, the door that could be used to connect to the room next door had no sound-dampening quality at all and the second night I had very rude neighbors who were evidently deaf judging from the voulme of their television. The capper though, the motel is next door to a "gentleman's club: with a marquee out front reading (and I kid you not here) "Got titties? We do!" I would sleep in my car before staying here again.

On the plus side: the office staff was nice, ineffectual but nice. I called to complain about the loud neighbors and nothing was ever done.

Suggestions: hire a better cleaning lady; use some thought as to where you place your guests (I am a traveling nurse who needs to get to sleep early because I have to get up early to work at a local hospital and the office staff knew this)...the noisy neighbors should have been down at the end or something; spend a little more on better beds (the sides on this mattress were painfully hard, the mattress was lumpy and quite uncomfortable); start your complimentary breakfast earlier (I had to be at work before your breakfast even started); use better doors between rooms (insulated doors aren't that expensive).
