I ususally don't write reviews, but this warranted it. I needed struts all the way around and my front brakes checked. I called two Nissan Dealerships (one a friend works at), Midas, and Firestone. Almost in every case they would not clearly quote me over the phone. They wanted to see the car...almost like a 2003 Maxima is so exotic that it required further looking into.

I drove past Elmhurst Auto and desided to call. Chris, the owner, politely answered the phone and was able to give me an immediate quote (could hear the calculator in the background) without even putting me on hold. The quote was 25% lower than a dealer, I did not have to make an appointment, and they performed the service two days later in under 4 hours as they promised. They even called to say that the strut replacement was going well and I still had 50% left on my brakes so they did not need replacement.

The whole experience was a good one and I hope yours is just as good as mine was.

This has been my go- to auto shop for 10+ years! I started coming here while I was a student at Elmhurst College and drove a Ford Escort and was a return customer as soon as the warranty on my Volvo expired. I get an oil change here every 3 months for under $25 and it's always done in 45 minutes or less. They have the best prices around for brakes, new tires, etc. They have relationships with the local dealerships and will gladly drive over to the Volvo in Lisle to pick up a part while my car is being worked on.

This is a family owned business and it is always nice to see the same faces. I like that I have a shop that I can trust and when I am short on cash they will let me know what I need done now and what can wait. At my last oil change they gave me advance notice that I would need a new air filter at my next oil change...not a pricey item, but still nice to have the advance notice!

They also have a courtesy shuttle and the driver will drop you off at work or home (if you are in the Elmhurst area) if your car needs a repair that will require it to be there for the day.

Also located right in downtown Elmhurst! You can walk over to Starbucks or Heavenly Cupcake or a number of other places while you wait!

I had a really bad experience with these people just because I wanted them to use the best spark plugs I could put in my vehicle. They were better than they would have put in with there standard tune up.
Not only would they not give me a discount for not having to use the plugs they didn't have to use but they charged me over $10.00 for using my plugs and on top of that I got a healthy feeding of attitude. I will never go back there again.

Well what can I say, as a woman we can be leery of car mechanics so when I found Elmhurst Auto Clinic I was pleasantly surprised. From the moment I walked in I felt welcome and everyone was very friendly. I had a few issues going on with my car, Chris and the mechanics took a look and told me what needed to get done and what wasn't an issue and not to bother getting it fixed at that particular time which ended up saving me some money! I really appreciated their honesty!! Overall I was very happy with my service and will go back again!! Thanks.

judge them by the amount of business and not bad reviews if they were as bad as the whiners is seen on some yelp reviews I find it laughable this place is a well oil machine with good techs and good pricing not to mention the fastest service ive seen !!

I've been dealing with these guys for going on twenty years, always professional and they only fix what's wrong with the car. I would highly recommend them to any friends or family.

If you are looking for a shop that treats you fair, this is the place. I have been going to this shop for 10+ years and always feel that the prices are reasonable. The mechanics and owner are great and take their time to explain to me what is happening with my car. I recommend this shop to all my friends!
